Sustainable Living Centre

The centre's goal is to inspire the adoption of sustainable behaviours through a self-guided exhibition with audio visuals, touch screen interactives and a state-of-the-art training room for diverse public programs and specialist talks.

The centre itself is a model for sustainable building practices including natural light and ventilation, LED lighting, LCD screens, e-waste, low VOC water based paints and adhesives, Australian FSC timber, glass, recycled and organic fabrics. All graphic panels are glass and screw fixed so they are easily removed with no damage to building fabric. The glass is recyclable and can be reused. The face mounted graphics can be economically replaced with new graphics (digital prints onto polyester with no off gas).
